Ingredients

  1. 1carrot chopped
  2. 2 cupsbasmati rice
  3. 1potato chopped
  4. Beans
  5. 1onion chopped
  6. 1tomato chopped
  7. 0.25 cupgreen peas
  8. 4-5green chilli
  9. 0.25 cupshredded coconut
  10. leavesCoriander
  11. 3bay leaves
  12. 3cinnamon stick
  13. 1 tspcrushed cardamom
  14. 4cloves
  15. leavesCurry
  16. 8cashews
  17. 5raisins
  18. Cumin seeds
  19. 1 tsppoppy seeds
  20. 3-4 tspoil
  21. 2 tspghee
  22. 1 inchGinger
  23. 1 tspgarlic paste
  24. 1 tsplemon juice
  25. 1 tsptomato sauce
  26. 1 tspjaggery

Cooking Instructions

    Soak basmati rice in water for 30 minutes.

    In a pan take oil. Add cumin seeds + crushed cardamom seeds and cloves + curry leaf + bay leaf. Sauté well. Now add onion + garlic paste and sauté. Add cashews and raisins as well

    In a mixer take coconut + poppy seeds + cinnamon stick + coriander leaves + ginger and grind well. Add less water.

    Now mix the paste in the pan and sauté for 4 minutes. Now add all the vegetables.

  5. 5

    Now add water. So water to rice proportion should be 1.5 : 1. Add salt + jaggery + lemon + sauce.

    Add rice as well. Cover it and boil for 20 minutes or until water is evaporated and rice is cooked well.

  7. 7

    Serve the pulav with salad
