Ingredients

  • 1000 gAP flour
  • 1 tspbaking powder
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 250 gmargarine
  • 100 gsugar
  • 2 tspvanilla or ½tsp nutmeg
  • 150 mlmilk or (35g powder milk + 150ml water)
  • 2eggs (optional, add if you want it soft)

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl add all the dry ingredients that is flour, sugar, salt, nutmeg if adding, and baking powder. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Add in the margarine and mix well till it resembles bread crumbs.

  3. 3

    Add in milk and vanilla(if adding) and eggs if you want it soft.

  4. 4

    Mix all together to form a dough.

  5. 5

    Flour a work surface, a table, table top, work table or counter top, roll your dough till 1cm thick and cut into chin chin shapes.

  6. 6

    If you add egg your chin chin will be soft, but if you want it crunchy do not add eggs, if you didn't add egg don't add more liquid, even though the dough is dry, keep pressing until it comes together, you won't need flour to roll.

  7. 7

    Fry in hot veg. Oil
