Peel off bitter gourd layer and keep it soaked in salted water for 2 hours.

Drain complete water of bitter gourd and cut it into 3 pieces.

Heat up oil in a shallow pan and add sesame seed, fennel seed, ginger paste, garlic paste and green chilli paste and cook for 1 minute over low flame.

Meanwhile chop onion finely and add in the above ground spices and sauté till the onion turn translucent. Besides, add bitter gourd and salt, as per your taste and cook on low flame for 20 minutes.

In a bowl of 1/4 cup water, mix all spices and add in the above gravy.

When cooked, switch off the flame and serve hot with flat bread (Chapati).
