This is a twist on Beatty's chocolate cake. I used cream cheese icing with homemade toffee that was supposed to be caramel. It gives nice crunch.

This is perfect cold on its own but eaten slightly warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream is one to be tried

This is a recipe from my mother's old friend in South Carolina. All these years later, it's still delicious!

A tip for step one is that another way to tell if it has reached hard crack stage without a thermometer is it will begin to smoke. At this point it is finished and you can move on to step two. Also use any brand chocolate you prefer.

This toffee can use for toppings in any kind of cake.I used this in my Banana cake.It's easy and tasty.

This is a traditional almond english toffee candy, crunchy and delicious. It also freezes well, so is great to make and keep on hand. Crumbled it and add to ice cream, cookies and cakes!
