Ingredients

  1. For cover -
  2. 2 cupswheat flour /all-purpose flour
  3. 2 tbsp oil
  4. As per tasteSalt
  5. For stuffing
  6. 250 gms fresh or frozen green peas
  7. 2green chillies
  8. 1 inchginger
  9. 1 tbsp oil
  10. 1/2 tsp fennel powder
  11. as per taste Salt
  12. 1/4 tsp garam masala
  13. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  14. 1/2 tsp dry mango powder
  15. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  16. 1/4 tspcarom seeds
  17. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  18. 1 tbsp fresh green coriander leaves
  19. 1 pinchAsafoetida
  20. as requiredOil for deep fry

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly, in a large mixing bowl take flour add oil and salt,turmeric powder and carrom seeds in it. Mix it well.

    Add water and make a soft dough of it. Keep it for rest 15-20 minutes.

    In a small blender take peas, ginger and chilli.
    blend to coarse paste without. keep aside.

    Further, in a large kadai heat oil.add in cumin seeds and saute till they turn aromatic. add in spices and saute.add blended peas and saute.
    also add salt and coriander leaves. mix and keep aside.

    Now pinch a ball sized ball and flatten it.

    Scoop prepared matar stuffing.

    Get the edges together and form a bundle.

    Again roll it carefully and lightly. You can use your palms to increase it as well.

    Heat oil in kadhai. Add ready kachories in it and deep fry it crispy by flipping it.

    Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or any chutany.
