Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, add flour and yeast. Mix well.
- 2
Then add water and knead. Then add sugar. Knead again. Then add salt. Knead to form a smooth dough. Then add oil and knead again.
- 3
Let the dough rise for 1-1.5 hrs in a warm place.
- 4
After the dough has risen, punch it to release air. Knead again into a soft ball. And make small balls out of it.
- 5
Cover the small dough balls and leave them for 15 mins to rise.
- 6
One by one, roll out the dough balls into small sized, thick breads. Cover and leave for 10 minutes mins.
- 7
Preheat the tawa, take one bread and lay it flat on the tawa, on a low to medium flame.
- 8
When 1 side turns brown, then flip to the other side. The bread will also puff up.
- 9
When both sides are done, remove from heat and serve with fillings.

Perfect Pita Bread Perfect Pita Bread
This is a small batch recipe for 3 medium pita breads. The secret to getting them to puff up into pockets is a super hot oven (at least 260°C/500°F). I recommend sticking to white flour for this because it seems whole wheat flours don't do a good job of rising well (which means no pocket!).Great for falafel, or any kind of sandwich fillings you like. Here are a couple of my falafel recipes if you need one ;)Regular Chickpea Falafel: https://cookpad.wasmer.app/us/recipes/282549-no-fail-chickpea-falafelBeet Falafel: https://cookpad.wasmer.app/us/recipes/246975-beet-falafelButternut Squash Falafel: https://cookpad.wasmer.app/us/recipes/283109-butternut-squash-falafel Felice -

I wanted to make freshly cooked naan at home, so I cam up with this recipe. Please be sure to bake the naan on the at a high temperature. It will be nicely browned, as delicious as authentic Indian naan is. For the all purpose flour, use Lys d'Or or a flour that is specifically meant for French-style bread. If you can't get all purpose flour, use half each of cake and bread flours.I added baking powder to the recipe to improve it. If you don't have any though, you can just omit it.
