Ingredients

  1. 2 tablespoonsvegetable oil
  2. 1onion sliced
  3. 6gloves garlic chopped
  4. 1 inchginger minced
  5. 1red pepper sliced
  6. 1 poundlean ground beef
  7. 1 cupThai basil leaves chopped
  8. 3scallions chopped
  9. Ingredients for sauce
  10. 2 teaspoonsbrown sugar
  11. 2 tablespoonsfish sauce
  12. 6 tablespoonssoy sauce
  13. 3 tablespoonsoyster sauce
  14. 1/2 cupwater
  15. 1 tablespoonchili paste (optional)
  16. 1 teaspooncorn starch

Cooking Instructions

    Mix ingredients for sauce and set aside

    Add oil to wok or large pan over medium high heat

  3. 3

    When oil is hot, add garlic, ginger, red pepper, and onion. Stir fry for 4 min

  4. 4

    Turn stove to high heat and add ground beef. Break beef into small pieces

  5. 5

    When beef is no longer pink, stir in sauce and cook for 2 minutes

  6. 6

    Add the basil and stir fry until the basil wilts.

  7. 7

    Top with scallions and enjoy over short grain white rice!
