Ingredients

  1. 1 glassrice
  2. 1 cupLeftover meat
  3. 1/4 cupoil
  4. 1 tspsalt
  5. 1 tbspred chilli powder
  6. 6-7whole red chilli
  7. 1 piececinnamon
  8. 1tezpath
  9. 3-4elaichi
  10. 2-3long
  11. 4-5kali mirchein
  12. 2tomatoes
  13. 3potatoes medium
  14. 2 glasswater (as required)
  15. for garnish
  16. 2 tbspFried onions
  17. Handfulmint leaves
  18. 2green chillies slit

Cooking Instructions

    Soak rice in water.

    In a pot, add oil and all whole garam masala. Add leftover meat from any curry/gravy and and fry for few mins.

    Wash and peel tomatoes. Add to the pot. Let the tomato soften and mash with the back of a spoon.

    Add all spices and fry the masala well. wash and dice potatoes and add to pot as well. Add slit green chillies.

    Wash rice. Add to pot. Add water as required. And let it cook until rice becomes tender.

    Using a spoon gently fluff the rice up. And then set on a simmer plate for 5 mins on low flame.

    Dish out. Garnish with fried onions. Serve with raita and salad.
