Raw jackfruit pickle

Ingredients

  1. Raw jackfruit 1 medium
  2. 4 tbsRed chill powder
  3. 1 tbsTurmeric powder
  4. 3 tbsFennel seed
  5. 2 tbsFenugreek seed
  6. 3 tbsMustard
  7. Salt (as desire)
  8. 2 cupsVinegar
  9. 3 cupsGingerly oil
  10. Garlic 25 pearls with skin
  11. Green chilli 4 to 5 (crush garlic and chilli)

Cooking Instructions

    Cut the jackfruit into half and wipe the gum with paper or cloth

    Cut into rounds and remove the outer skin

  3. 3

    Cut the flesh part between outer skin and fruit part.

  4. 4

    Cut into small pieces, boil for 5 min, drain and spread it on a cloth let it dry for 3 hours

    Fry all the dry whole ingredients until golden bown

    Grind as powder, mix with dried jackfruit and add turmeric powder, chilli powder salt vinegar, mix well

  7. 7

    In a dry pan heat gingerly oil, just few min and off the flame

  8. 8

    Let it cool then mix with the pickle, taste it,if you need more spicy and sour add more chilli powder and vinegar, mix and keep in a container and keep 3days in the sunlight. Enjoy the pickle with rice and roti
