Ingredients

6-8 servings
  1. 1 ltrMilk
  2. 500 gmsKhoya
  3. 200 gmsSugar
  4. 1 tbspLemon juice
  5. PinchSalt
  6. As required Oil for greasing

Cooking Instructions

    👉🏻Take a thick bottomed pan and add 1liter of milk in it.
    👉🏻Bring it to a quick boil over high heat while stirring.
    Lower the flame Once it starts to boil.
    👉🏻Add sugar and stir continuously.

    👉🏻 Continue until milk reduce to one-third of its volume.
    👉🏻 Do not let malai stick to the sides of the pan.
    👉🏻Now, add lemon juice and keep stirring over low heat.
    👉🏻Milk would start to curdle and little whey would be separated.

    👉🏻Now add khoya in it and continues stirring on low flame.
    👉🏻Cook the mixture until the mixture has a thick consistency and turn light brown in color after all the moisture evaporates and starts to leave sides. 👉🏻Milk will release a nice fragrance and a light to dark brown color.

    👉🏻Turn off the flame and let it cool a little.
    👉🏻Grease a thick pan and Immediately transfer the mixture into the pan.
    👉🏻Keep it aside or in fridge to set for 2-3 hours.
    👉🏻Flip the pan over and demould

    👉🏻Decorate with almond slices and half cut almond
    👉🏻You can also use pista, silver leaf for garnishing
    👉🏻Cut milk cake into slices.
