Bisi Bele Bhath

Bengaluru, India

Bisi bele bhath or Bisi Bele Huliyanna is a spicy, rice-based dish with origins in the state of Karnataka, India.

Bisi Bele bhath which means 'hot lentil rice dish' in Kannada language, is a one pot meal.
It is a great combination of Rice, Lentil & Vegetables which makes it a delicious, healthy & wholesome meal

It is served with any raita. Here I have served with Cucumber Raita

It's prepared by cooking the Rice & Toor Dal together and then mixing it with cooked veggies, the Bisi Bele Bhath powder (MTR works best), little tamarind paste and Jaggery to get the authentic taste & tempering at the end!!!
