This is a traditional recipe of Jagatjanani Bari, a house which had astadhatu Durga idol. They celebrate the Basanti Puja with elaborate rituals. This recipe is like payesh but has a much thick consistency that it can be eaten as a cake when it cool down.

In a thick bottom pan put the milk and let it boil. Wash the rice and put it in the milk. Stir continuously. When the rice is cooked.

Add the sugar. Let it melt. When the mixture thicken add the grated coconut. Now put the condensed milk and fold it. Now pour it in a vessel and let it cool. Garnish it with kaju and kismis. Serve it like a cake.
