In a thick bottom pan add 1/4 cup water and bring it to boil now add milk and boil it

Tip : add water before milk ensure that milk shall not get burnt at the bottom

Let the milk boil at sim flame till three to four boil comes,now add kesar dissolved in water/milk,washed and soaked rice and let it cook till milk is reduced to half of it's original quantity,keep on stirring the milk after every few minutes

Tip : cook the kheer through out at sim flame, it enhances the taste of kheer,indeed it is time consuming process but it’s the most authentic way of making kheer

Now add cashew powder,cashew,raisin and mix it properly and let it cook

Tip : never add sugar at the beginning of process as it increase the chances of the milk getting burnt at bottom

Once the kheer has become thick,add sugar slowly and not in one go and keep on stirring,with adding and dissolving of sugar it may become bit watery but keep on stirring and within few minutes.rabdi kheer will be ready

Once kheer is ready switch off flame and let it cool a little bit

Take in bowl add dry fruit and serve hot

This kheer taste absolutely yummy even if served chilled
