Masala Fish Fry

This delicious, crispy & spicy fish fry makes for a great appetizer or a side to a meal. A simple vegetable salad or sliced onion compliment the fish fry. It can be served as a side with any variety rice like Ghee rice, cumin or Jeera rice, simple coconut rice.

Wash the fish pieces and sprinkle some salt and 1 lemon juice and keep ot aside for 30 to 40 minutes.

Now heat a pan and add oil for shallow frying these fish pieces

Once fish is fried. In the same pan add 1 tsp oil and add ginger garlic paste, green chillies sauté it for a minute.

Now add tomato puree, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala and mix well and cook for 5 minutes.

Once the tomato gravy is cooked add fried fish to this. Keep on low flame for 5 minutes with the lid covered.

Now serve hot on plate and garnish it with lemon and green spring onions.
