Gujarati dhokla, cheese Surti locho with green chutney

Ingredients

  1. 1 cuprice
  2. 1/2 cupsplits Yellow Gram
  3. 1 tspturmeric
  4. 2 cupswarm water
  5. 1/2 cupbuttermilk
  6. to tasteSalt
  7. 1 tbspoil
  8. 1 tspMustard seeds
  9. 1 tspcummin seeds
  10. 1 tspBaking soda
  11. For Tadka:
  12. 1 tbspoil
  13. 6-7Curry leaves
  14. 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  15. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  16. forGreen chutney :
  17. 1/2 cupchopped coriander
  18. 1/2 cupchopped spinach
  19. 1 tbspchopped Ginger
  20. 1 tbspchopped garlic
  21. 2green chillies
  22. 1/2 tspsugar
  23. 1 tsplemon juice
  24. to tasteSalt
  25. 4 tbspwater

Cooking Instructions

    Dhokla :

    Take rice and split gram into a bowl and mix.
    Then powdar it.

    In a bowl add this powdar and add turmeric.
    Then add buttermilk, warm water little by little and mix well.

    Keep it a side for fermentation (7-8 hour at warm place)

    After that,
    Into a pan add oil, oil is heated add mustard and cummin seeds and add this oil in fermented batter& mix it.
    Also add salt, baking soda and mix well.

    Minwhile in a steemar add 1 litter water and switch on the flame.

    Add fermented batter in a steemar plate and steem for 7-8 minute in high flame.

    Then add mustard, cummin seeds & Curry leaves Tadka over steemed dhokla pieces and serve it warm.

    Green chutney :
    Add all ingredients in mixture jar and crush it well.

  9. 9

    Surti locho :

    Same fermented batter add in steemar plate and steem for 5 minute then take into a plate without pieces.

    Over it add chopped onion, besan sev, green chutney, cheese and serve it.
