Fried onions dry chutney

Wash and slice the onions thinly. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the onions till light golden brown. Do not over fry them otherwise it will make them bitter in taste.

Remove onions and keep aside. Slit the green chilli into half and fry the green chilli and few curry leaves in the same oil. Be careful while frying the chilli it may burst so just put it in the oil on the frying spoon and dip it in the oil and remove it.

Crush the fried onions with fingers and add salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, shambar powder, lemon juice or amchur powder, fried chilli and fried curry leaves in it. Mix well and serve.
