Polar Bear Chili

Chili inspired by the Dead Lounge. Credit to David Elsenhon. I honestly don't know how many it serves, but I nor does he, so I put in a divisible amount. That being said, I haven't tried making this; please let me know how this turns out

Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a skillet, brown the steak put it aside, and then put the ground beef in.
- 2
Use the stew pot to let the bacon sizzle until it's clear, then add the onions. Let them sizzle a bit, then add the steak and ground beef. Let them cook in the pot for a while
- 3
Reduce to a slow simmer, then slowly stir in in the beans and tomatoes, giving a few minutes between each ingredient so they can cook
- 4
Stir in the chilis, tomato sauce/paste, garlic, sauces, and seasonings
- 5
Add the chili powder and masa flour last. I put this direction towards the end because thickening agents affect the whole recipe.
- 6
Let the pot simmer for two or three hours. Once finished, add sharp cheddar to each bowl.

Chili for when it's chilly. This'll warm you up for sure! This makes a thick, hearty chili. I started making it this way years ago after getting bored with our same ole same ole, and deciding to experiment. The hubby loves it with honey butter cornbread (recipe on my profile for that too).
