Beetroot masoor dal dosa

My little one loves dosa very much but she is a picky eater too !!
So then this masoor dal dosa was born in my kitchen with goodness of beetroot. She just loved it and my purpose was also solved to add a healthy veggie to her favorite food.
This dosa is special because it’s pink October and we are talking about breast cancer awareness this month. So this is to remind that we have to take care of ourselves 🎀

Soak dal, rice and methi overnight.

Next morning grind to a thick batter with beetroot.

Beat the batter for 2-3 minutes to incorporate air.

Add salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar to the batter. Sugar makes the dosas very crisp. If the batter is very thick add water to bring it to the right consistency.

Start making the dosas. It doesn’t need fermentation but if you will ferment it,the dosas will be more nutritious.

Pair it with sambar or chutney of your choice.
