Boil baby potatoes without pealing it, just by adding salt, wait for 5 whistles on medium flame.. Then peel them. Now heat a kadai & put some oil and fry the potatoes by adding some salt, turmeric and kashmiri red chilli powder, spicy red chilli powder..Now keep it aside.

Next coarsely grind the onion, cut the tomato into small pieces and keep them aside. Now on the same kadai put 4 tbsp of oil, heat it then add jeera, elaichi, cinnamon stick, dried red chilli, bay leaf. Then add onion paste, tomato pieces, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, sugar and mix everything well. Fry them on a low flame until oil starts releasing from the masalas.

Now add the fried baby potatoes and coat it well with the masalas. Saute it for about a minute. Then add a cup of water. Then add some salt, turmeric powder, if required. Mix everything well, cover the kadai and cook it on a low flame for 10 to 12 mins to give dum..After 12 mins, add chopped coriander leaves and mix everything well once again. Serve hot with puris or naan.
