Grandma’s Sautéed Bok Choy w/ Tofu
A quick side dish, or main dish!
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Grandma sautees the garlic, onion, and tomato in oil on low heat until it gets gummy. Then she adds in the ground pork.
- 2
Meanwhile, Grandpa fries up the tofu and cuts it into bite-sized pieces.
- 3
Once the ground pork is no longer pink, she adds in the black bean sauce. Sauté for another 2 mins.
- 4
Add the bok choy stems. Cook to desired doneness.
- 5
Add the bokchoy leaves and tofu. Add chicken broth if you like it saucy!
- 6
And lastly, grandma likes to add Mrs. Dash bc it has no sodium.
- 7
Enjoy!

Bok Choy and Shiitake Mushroom with Mashed Tofu Bok Choy and Shiitake Mushroom with Mashed Tofu
I was had a bunch of shiso leaves and tofu, and came up with this recipe to use them up.It's easier to drain the excess water from the tofu if put a weight on top. The stir fried vegetables in Step 4 can be mixed in right away to make a kind of warm salad, or you can also make the vegetables a day in advance so that the flavors marry. You can use any combination of vegetables you like, but the flavor of the shiitake mushrooms and the crisp texture of enoki mushrooms used here are pretty nice. Recipe by Kuchannomama cookpad.japan -

Easy Tofu and Bok Choy Stir Fry with Szechuan Pepper Easy Tofu and Bok Choy Stir Fry with Szechuan Pepper
I really wanted to use Szechuan pepper.Adjust the amount of water depending on the water content of the tofu. If you let the tofu boil, the texture will change for the worse, so be careful. If the tofu falls apart while you're stir-frying it, it's not a problem. The ginger juice added at the end brings the flavors together. You can use dried shrimp instead of the canned scallops. For 4 servings. Recipe by Asamato cookpad.japan -
