# My 20th post.Idly podi is the best side dish for idly/dosa which can be prepared in under 30 minutes.The combination of the dals and spices makes it good for health.It is a kids friendly recipe.You can customize it according to your liking.

Wash all dals and dry it so that there is more flavour in the podi.First take a deep bottom vessel,dry roast the red chillies on a low flame.The chillies should become crunchy,then add curry leaves and cook till crunchy.

Remove the chillies and curry leaves in a plate.Then,add chanadal for few minutes till aromatic,to it add urad dal,white sesame seeds,black pepper,garlic and keep roasting till you dals becomes reddish and aromatic.To it add asfoetida and transfer to the plate.

After it cools down,grind everything to coarse powder with salt.Homemade idly podi is ready.
