Ingredients

25-30servings
  • 500 gramsCornflakes
  • 100 mloil
  • 150 gramsPeanuts
  • 100 gramscashewnuts (optional)
  • 50 gramroasted chana dal (optional)
  • 3 tspcumin seeds
  • 3 tspmustard seeds
  • 1/2 bowlcurry leaves
  • 3-4 tablespoonchilli powder
  • 1 tablespoonhaldi(Turmeric) powder
  • 2-3 tablespooncoriander powder
  • 4 tablespoonsugar powder
  • 2-3 tablespoonSalt
  • 1-2 tablespoondry mango powder
  • 1 tspasafoetida
  • 2 tablespoonsesame seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    Open new packet of cornflakes to get the right amount of crunch. If you already have a opened packet then roast the cornflakes for 5mins before tempering

  2. 2

    For tempering add oil to pan

  3. 3

    One by one fry all ingredients well and remove them directly over cornflakes. Firstly peanuts then cashew then dahlya and remove on the cornflakes heap

  4. 4

    In the same add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, sesame seeds and fry for 1-2 mins. Now add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder. Fry for a minute and remove from flame.

  5. 5

    Pour the tempering on the cornflakes.

  6. 6

    Add salt and sugar powder over tempering and mix well until everything gets easily coated with the spices. And it's ready to eat.
