1/2 cupUrad dal
To tasteSalt
1/2 tspRed chilli powder
1/2 tspCumin seeds
As neededOil for deep frying

Soak rice and both the dals overnight

Grind to a smooth paste of dropping consistency

Add salt, chilli powder,cumin seeds
4

Heat oil and drop dollops of batter to make puris
5

Serve either as a snack or as substitute for puri in main meal
