Heat a cooker pour water, add one by one tomato, garlic, salt to taste, turmeric powder, black pepper crushed, chilli, onion mix well then cover and cook for about 2 whistles, then release it, strains properly.

For tempering heat oil in a kadai then add panch phoran, red chilli, asafoetida, curry leaves then add garlic leave for one minute cook light brown in colour then add Rasam powder stir continuously.

Then add strained tomato juice and cook till boiling point. Then add sugar and tamarind pulp mix well again cook for about one minute, then serve hot.
