Ingredients

5 to 6 people
  1. 2.5 cupsSeeraga samba rice, rinsed & soaked for 30 mins
  2. 1 tbspOil
  3. 1 tbspGhee
  4. 3 inchCinnamon stick
  5. 1 tspFennel seeds
  6. 3bay leaves
  7. 7Cloves
  8. 4Green Cardamom
  9. Little Black stone flower
  10. 2Green chilli (adjust according to taste)
  11. 1big Onion
  12. 1 tbspGinger garlic paste
  13. 1 cupCarrots,chopped
  14. 1.5 cupGreen peas
  15. 2 tbspCurd/Yogurt, whisked well
  16. Salt needed
  17. 1/3 cupCoriander leaves chopped
  18. 1/2 cupMint leaves chopped
  19. 1 tbspLemon juice(add according to taste)
  20. 4 cupsWater

Cooking Instructions

    Soak Rice. Add the spices mentioned in ingredients upto Green Chilli in Oil & Ghee. Fry for 2 mins

    Add thinly sliced onion, Salt & Ginger garlic paste. Fry until browned.

  4. 4

    Then add chopped Mint, Coriander leaves with chopped Carrots & Peas. Let it cook for 2 mins

  5. 5

    Add whisked curd/yogurt with lemon juice.

  6. 6

    Add Drained Rice & water. Adjust salt & cook for 1 whistle.

  7. 7

    Let the pressure release naturally. Yummy & Quick Biryani is done.
