I wanted to make a simple dish that would taste taste good chilled so that I could pack it for lunches. Since beef toughens up and doesn't taste so good if it's cooked for too long, you should stop stir-frying it as soon as it's been cooked through. (Recipe by Kaisorano mama)

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 300 gramsthinly sliced beef or beef trimmings
  2. 3small chunks fresh ginger
  3. Green onions or scallions
  4. Seasoning
  5. 3 Tbspsugar
  6. 3 Tbspsake
  7. 3 Tbspsoy sauce
  8. 1 Tbspvegetable oil

    Chop up the meat. Julienne the ginger. Finely chop the green onion.

    Heat oil in a frying pan and first cook the ginger. Once fragrant, add the meat and continue cooking.

    Once the oil has coated everything, add the sake and the sugar. Briefly stir-fry.

    Remove the ingredients from the pan. Pour in the soy sauce and bring it to a simmer. Return the ingredients and cook in the soy sauce.

    Once cooked, add the green onion and lightly stir-fry to finish.

    If adding Japanese leek (naga-negi), add it in a little bit before the soy sauce.
