Biryani chai, layered tea with spices

A sweet and spicy three layered tea concoction with milkmaid, black tea and milk froth.
It's rightly called the Biryani chai, as it is in layers and the spices that are used are almost similar to that in the layered dum biriyani.

Just pour a layer of condensed milk, then very carefully pour hot spiced black tea. Top it up with milk froth and sprinkle some cinnamon powder. And there you are, yummy and delicious Biryani chai is ready.

The right way to drink it is to slightly dribble it with a long spoon, so that all the layers mix nicely and you don't end up with a cinnamon milk moustache 😀

If you want it stronger just reduce the condensed milk and increase the black tea. You can also make a strong black tea. It's definitely not for those who are trying to avoid sugar.

But if you are a genuine tea lover you will definitely love this.

Serve immediately and enjoy. Stir a little before having it so that all the flavours combine well and the milk forth dissolves a little. Otherwise you will end up with cinnamon milk moustache 😀

Hi, I am Swati.Food has always been my eternal love.I had always been a foodie. So much so that one of my aunts used to say it’s a pleasure to serve you. I also started cooking at a very young age in my mother’s kitchen. As I grew, my love for food grew with me. However, I did not even realize when this passion of mine became comfortable in some corner of my heart and the race towards economic and social goals took over my entire time.I am a Human Resource executive in the Education Industry by profession. Now, after years of juggling between my work and my passion, I finally decided to take my passion to another level. Here will share with you my recipes some tradition and some noval. My blog/website: ediblelovebyswati.comInstagram: ediblelovebyswatiFacebook: ediblelovebyswati
