Imarti (Imarti Recipe)

Steps
- 1
Rinse the dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 3 to 4 hours.
- 2
Drain all the water from the dal, then transfer it to a blender jar and grind into a fine paste.
- 3
Transfer the dal paste to a bowl, add a pinch of orange food coloring, and beat well until the batter becomes light and doubles in volume.
- 4
In a separate pot, combine 2 cups sugar and 1 cup water, add the remaining pinch of orange food coloring, and cook to make a one-string sugar syrup.
- 5
Heat ghee in a pan. Fill a piping bag or a squeeze bottle (or use a jalebi cloth) with the dal batter and pipe imarti shapes into the hot ghee. Fry until cooked.
- 6
Soak the fried imartis in warm sugar syrup for 2 minutes, then remove and serve.
- 7
Your imarti is ready to enjoy.
