It is a traditional recepi from my home town. Traditionally made on Sankranti. I just gave it a twist by adding dryfruits and gond stuffing to it.

It is a traditional recepi from my home town. Traditionally made on Sankranti. I just gave it a twist by adding dryfruits and gond stuffing to it.
Steps

First of all dry roast all the dryfruits, melon seeds and khuskhus. keep aside

In a pan add 1/2 tspn of ghee, add gond and roast untill the started puffing. keep aside

Now take dates and raisins roughly gring them. And finaly add dryfruits, gond and melon seeds. make small size balls.

Now take roasted sesame, add ginger and jaggery mix well.

Divide the sesame seeds mix in equal portion, portion must be bigger in size than dates dryfruits balls prepared earlier.

Take one portion, stuffed it with a date ball, and give it the shape of modak.

In the same way prepare other modak also and serve.
