Scones

I made my own versions of a recipe I saw in a magazine a while ago. I tried adding yogurt and other ingredients, but settled on this.
In step 3, make sure you mix until the dough is crumbly. If you are using a cup to cut out the pieces, the dough will expand nicely if you use a cup with a thin rim. Recipe by lov_sweets

Steps
- 1
Cut the butter into small pieces. Mix the milk and egg yolk together and set aside.
- 2
Sift the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt into a bowl. Add the butter.
- 3
Mix by hand or with a blender until it's crumbly.
- 4
Mix in the combined milk and egg in small batches.
- 5
When it's no longer floury, lightly knead it together by hand.
- 6
Dust on some flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of 1.5 - 2 cm. Cut out the shapes with a cutter or cup.
- 7
Bake for 10 minutes in an oven preheated to 200℃, then for 15 minutes at 180℃.
- 8
Done.
