The World's Best Rice Pudding The World's Best Rice Pudding
I love rice pudding!! I found a recipe that is very close to my favorite store brand and refined it to what I am sharing with you now. You can thank me by marking this recipe as a favorite and making it often, and you will once your family and friends get a taste of it. I'm NOT a fan of raisins in rice pudding. In fact, I don't believe they belong in rice pudding. I included them in this recipe for those of you that are on #TeamRaisin. Enjoy and share your opinion (of the recipe, not the raisin controversy). I'd like to know how it turns out!! DaniB -

Knefe / knafe with rice pudding filling Knefe / knafe with rice pudding filling
This is my family's favorite recipe, I get asked to make it quite frequently. One thing I've learned from my grandmother is using great quality bases ( oil, butter, cream etc...) in this recipe butter has to be really good even though it's not a big part of the flavor, good quality butter (new Zealand or clarified butter) makes the recipe from tasting good to make you palate touch the clouds and gives the rare happy feeling only exquisite food can give. It can also be done with unsalted shredded mozzarella instead of the rice pudding filling. bluepixelsz -

This is, by far, the best rice pudding I have made. The raisins are optional and this pudding is delicious with or without them. You could also double the recipe if you'd like a bigger batch. Just make sure the rice you use is medium grain for the best results texture wise. Christina -

Portuguese Rice Pudding Portuguese Rice Pudding
This is the recipe my Vavo (Grandmother) would make for dessert on Sundays, when we would all gather at her house for dinner. It may differ from mainland Portugal, my Grandmother was from the Azores. All I can say is when the recipe says do not stir the pot, resist the urge, don't do it. My grandmother had me standing for 2 hours stirring to make sure hers did not stick when I made this mistake. Thomas Panchaud
