Chop the pandan leaves and blend them with the water. Strain and set the pandan water aside.

Rinse the glutinous rice thoroughly, drain, and soak it in the pandan water for about 4–6 hours.

After soaking for 4 hours, drain the rice. Steam the rice in a bamboo steamer over medium heat for about 25 to 30 minutes, occasionally sprinkling with water and turning the rice to ensure even cooking. Once the rice is cooked, knead it gently and serve in a traditional sticky rice basket.
