Cooking Instructions
- 1
Make the sushi rice. Follow the recipe above. I mixed in sesame seeds.
- 2
Use a non-stick frying pan, you can fry the pork in its own fat.
- 3
Cut the pork belly into 3-4 cm pieces. Fry the pork belly in a frying pan and when the pork starts to cook through remove the excess fat with kitchen paper.
- 4
Drizzle on the sukiyaki sauce. Mix everything together and continue to cook until the sauce is completely reduced. Leave the meat to cool.
- 5
Spread the sushi rice over the nori seaweed and place the pork on top.
- 6
Add the vegetables (in this picture I used radish sprouts) and drizzle over with mayonnaise.

Natto Hand-rolled Sushi Natto Hand-rolled Sushi
I thought up a natto recipe that would allow me to take in lots of healthy raw veggies. Since my husband happily ate a bunch of these up as well, they should be pretty easy to eat for non-raw foodists.I substituted alfalfa for rice to make raw foodist-friendly hand-rolled natto sushi. I recommend this not only for those who enjoy raw food, but also for those who are on diets or trying to improve their eating habits. Recipe by Shiawasenashokutaku cookpad.japan -
Temari Sushi-Style Rolled Sushi Temari Sushi-Style Rolled Sushi
I was thinking about making temari sushi, but to wrap up each of them one at a time is a bit of a pain. I wanted to be able to make all the base parts at once, so I thought up this recipe. If the roll sushi you make for the base is too fat, then when it's time to eat, it will break apart and become difficult to eat. So, if you use only 3/4 of the nori sheet, you will have a thinner of a roll. This will make it cute and easy to eat! Recipe by megmicky cookpad.japan -
Sushi Rolls with Lightly Seared Beef Sushi Rolls with Lightly Seared Beef
This is the beef tataki that I usually make for New Year's. It can be eaten as it is or in a sushi roll like this. It's very popular at parties and as a post-drinks snack. When you place the sushi rice on top of the seaweed, the seaweed will suck up the moisture and become sticky. So I used baking paper and cling film to roll it, which makes it easier to peel off than a sushi mat.For Step 2 when you are evening out the layer of rice, coat your hands in a mixture of 200 ml water and 1 tablespoon vinegar. This will prevent the grains of rice from sticking to them. Recipe by piyopiyonist3 cookpad.japan -
