I made this on a day when pork was cheap.
Men are really happy to eat pork, so I thought up a recipe I could use on such days.

Don't reduce the sauce too much (Step 4), just until the meat has cooked through.

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 400 gramsThinly sliced pork offcuts
  2. 1Scallion
  3. 1●Egg
  4. 1 tbsp●Katakuriko
  5. 1 tbsp●Soy sauce
  6. 3 tbsp★Soy sauce
  7. 3 tbsp★Mirin
  8. 1thumb-sized knob Ginger

Steps

    Ground up the pork in a food processor. Finely chop the green part of the scallion. Grate the ginger.

  2. 2

    Put half of the juice from the grated ginger into a bowl. Add the ground pork, chopped scallions, and the ● ingredients and knead together.

    Oil a frying pan. Divide the meat mixture into 16 balls and add to the pan. Turn the heat on medium. When they start to sizzle, cover with a lid.

    Mix together the remaining ginger and ★ ingredients. When the meat becomes white, flip over, pour in the sauce, and continue cooking until the sauce is reduced.
