Note :- mutton can be cooked with rice here I have pressure cooked it already with salt ,ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder and used it’s soup too for cooking this Biryani rice .
To make sure nothing is being discarded..!

Ingredients

30 minutes prep time:-1 hour
2-4 servings
  • 1 kgbasmati rice (Salam india)
  • as requiredWater for cooking
  • 800 gramsmutton (with bones)
  • 2medium size potatoes
  • 2medium size onions
  • 2big tomatoes
  • 1 cupthick greek yoghurt
  • Hard spices:-
  • 2-3cinnamon sticks,
  • 3-4 cloves,
  • 3-4 cardamoms,
  • 1/2 teaspoon shahi jeera
  • Other ingredients:-
  • 2 teaspoonred chilli powder
  • 2green chili’s
  • 1 tablespoonginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoonssalt
  • 1 teaspoonkasuri methi
  • 1/2 teaspoonGaram masala powder (homemade)
  • 3-5 tablespoonsoil for cooking
  • 1/2part lemon juice
  • as requiredCoriander leaves for garnishing

Steps

30 minutes prep time:-1 hour
  1. 1

    Firstly washed and soaked rice for about an hour further take a heavy bottom wok add oil to it next add chopped onions and hard spices sauté until golden brown then add ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes & boiled mutton cook until tomatoes are mashed then add curd & rest all spices cook until oil separates from sides. Then more gravy to one side and add the medium sliced potatoes and set on the other side too.

    Then spread a layer of tomato gravy on potatoes layer oil make sure oil must be enough for cooking. Then add the required amount of water from sides slowly to not disturb the potatoes layer once the water is boiled add the soaked rice don’t stir.just add lime juice and coriander leaves,Garam masala powder. cover the lid and cook until 15-20 minutes on low flame.

    Once done let it rest for 10 minutes and check it must be perfectly cooked. Our delicious dum aloo turns lovely brown and yummy on the last layer and the aromatic dum Aloo gosht biryani is ready to relish..!
    No curry need to accompany with any curry just a good amount of salad with kebabs is enough to enjoy the meal..!
