No need to mix this cake or butter the pound cake tin! By using pancake mix, you skip the bother of having to measure and sift flour.
I used honey and fresh and delicious eggs to make this cake.

Follow the instructions on your bread machine for the cake setting.

100 gramsUnsalted butter
50 gramsHoney
1to 2 tablespoons Milk
2Beaten eggs
200 gramsPancake mix

Steps

Prepare the ingredients. Bring the unsalted butter to room temperature and cut into 1 cm cubes.

Put the ingredients into the bread machine in the order listed. (Butter, honey, milk, eggs, pancake mix.)

Choose the "cake" setting and press the start button.

When the machine beeps, open the lid and scrape down the sides of the bread pan with a rubber spatula. Press the start button again.

Take the cake out of the bread pan as soon as it's finished. Cool on a rack and it's done!!

I used this recipe to test a hand-me-down bread maker that came to me without a user manual or recipe book. I'm sure it would have been a nice cake, if I had at least stirred all the ingredients together before selecting the "Cake" setting. It turns out that this particular bread maker doesn't mix the ingredients, it goes straight to baking on the "Cake" setting, so what I ended up with was a layer of melted honey butter, a layer of cooked egg clumps, and all topped by a layer of roasted flour. I will try it again, but will stir my ingredients before pressing "Start."
