Sweet Onion and Pork Salad with Garlic and Mayo

I had some delicious sweet onions.
Cutting the onion at a right angle helps mitigate its stinging spiciness.
There's no need to soak the sweet onion in water or rub some salt in it. However, if you dislike its spiciness or if you're using regular onions, please prep them so they're not too strong in flavor.
Do not chill the pork in ice water! This will make the meat excessively tough. Recipe by Oshisu

Steps
- 1
Using a whisk, mix all ● ingredients with a whisk.
- 2
Add the soy sauce and sesame oil in order, and mix some more.
- 3
Thinly slice the sweet onion with a slicer. Check out the photo - slice the onion in this angle so that it's against the grain.
- 4
Boil the pork and drain in a colander. Set it aside so that any excess water will be drained off.
- 5
While the meat is still warm, add it into the bowl of mixture from Step 2. Let the pork absorb the flavor.
- 6
When the meat has slightly cooled down, add the onion from Step 3 and also the daikon radish sprouts. Mix everything together.
- 7
Set it aside for a while. The onion will become soften and the flavors will together.
- 8
Plate and top with some sesame seeds.
