Very simple side dish. High protein and easy. I use the microwave oven to steam the tofu, you can heat it over a traditional steamer for 8 mins. I am using firm tofu here.

Very simple side dish. High protein and easy. I use the microwave oven to steam the tofu, you can heat it over a traditional steamer for 8 mins. I am using firm tofu here.

Ingredients

  1. 300 gFirm Tofu (drained of excess water)
  2. Bonito flakes (optional)
  3. Spring onions (optional)
  4. Dipping Sauce
  5. 1 tbspsesame oil
  6. 1 tbspshoyu (or soy sauce)
  7. 1 tbspmirin
  8. 1 tbspwater

Cooking Instructions

    Mix all dipping ingredients in a microwaveable safe dish and microwave on High (1000W) for 40 secs.

    Cut firm tofu into slices. Arrange on a plate. Cover with cling wrap and microwave on medium (700W) for 4 mins. Remove excess water.

    Serve together with bonito flakes and spring onions. Enjoy!
