Steps

Wash n drain the water from tuvar daal. Pour enough water n add salt n turmeric powder n cover the lid of pressure cooker n let it cook on medium to low flame for 10 minutes

Chop onion n tomato finely. Heat some oil n add chopped garlic n saute for a while. Add chopped onion n cook until translucent.

Add chopped tomato n cook until soft n mashy. Add all the powdered masalas mentioned above and ginger garlic paste. Add some water n mix everything well. Cook on medium to low flame until the masalas cooked well or oil floats on top.

Add boiled tuvar daal to the masala n mix well. Add enough water to adjust consistency.

Let the daal boil for 2 3 minutes until it reaches to desired consistency. Add chopped coriander leaves n kasuri methi as garnish n mix well.

For tadka of daal fry, heat some oil. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds n curry leaves. Add dry red chilli n switch off the flame. Add red chilli powder n add the tadka to daal.

Mix everything well n serve hot.

Serve daal with zeera rice. World's best combination.
