Cooking Instructions

You can tame the bitterness of the gourd, if you want, by doing this tip:
- 2
Heat oil in a pan and sauté the garlic and onions. Add the beef tapa and stir fry a bit.
- 3
Add the tomatoes. Add water to the sauce left in the beef packaging and pour in the pan. Cover to let the tomato juice come out.
- 4
Add the bitter melon / gourd, the remaining water and cover.
- 5
Add the tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper. When the sauce thickens you are ready to add the egg.
- 6
Pour in the beaten egg and stir fry with spatula to mix well. Your dish is ready when egg is cooked and the sauce absorbed. Enjoy!

Delicious! Goya Chanpuru (Bitter Melon Stir-Fry) Delicious! Goya Chanpuru (Bitter Melon Stir-Fry)
My parents harvested a lot of bitter melon, so I thought of recipes to use it. I compared the taste with store bought sauce, and now I don't need store bought sauce any more.To get rid of the bitterness, remove the white inner parts as much as possible. Slice the bitter gourd thinly, and rub with 1 tablespoon of salt (for a 20-30 cm long vegetable), and then soak it in water for about 10 minutes. Not all of the bitterness will be eliminated, but it will reduce to about the level where you just sense it as an aftertaste. In addition, freshly harvested bitter melon is less bitter. For 4 servings. Recipe by Himawarichan cookpad.japan -
