I am often asked to share sugar-free recipes of classic Indian mithai. Indulge your sweet tooth this festival season with sugar-free and nut-free besan ladoos that are easy to cook.
Steps
- 1
To begin, heat the ghee in a pan.
- 2
Add in the besan and roast on low flame until it turns golden and you can smell the nutty aroma.
- 3
Remove from heat, transfer into a large bowl and allow it to cool. Do not leave it in the pan or the besan might burn.
- 4
Once cooled, add in the sweetener and the cardamom powder. Mix well. If it is too dry, you can add a teaspoon or two of ghee.
- 5
My kitchen is a nut-free kitchen. If you are using nuts, you can add them now.
- 6
Shape it into ladoos of the desired size.
- 7
The Sugar Free Besan Ladoos are ready to serve.
