Homemade Mexican beans

Cook a big pot of beans and some corn bread and you got a delicious meal. Add some sausage and thick bacon and a can of Rotel to jaz it up and spice it up with a serrano pepper.

Cook a big pot of beans and some corn bread and you got a delicious meal. Add some sausage and thick bacon and a can of Rotel to jaz it up and spice it up with a serrano pepper.

Wash your beans well and then add them to a big pot of water add a teaspoon of garlic powder and bacon and chopped up onion and cook till half way tender making sure to add water as needed keep them topped off at all times. You may also add a jalapeno or Serrano pepper whole

Once they are about half way cooked you may begin to add sausage if you desire, and chopped up cilantro and a can of Rotel and if you like add chunks of tomato as well.

Cook till beans are soft and sausage is cooked serve with a side of warm corn bread
