Ingredients

15 minutes
3-4 servings
  1. 1 cupRava/Suji /semolina
  2. 1 cupcurd
  3. 1 tbsproasted peanut
  4. 6 tspcoriander chilli paste
  5. 6 tspcarrot paste
  6. 1/2 pinchyellow food color
  7. 1/2 pinchred food color
  8. 2 pinchbaking soda
  9. For Tadka :
  10. 1tbsp oil
  11. 1 tsprai/mustard seeds

Cooking Instructions

    For Tadka : heat oil add rai/mustard seeds. Rai crackled. Switch off the flame.

    For Idli Batter : In mixing bowl add rava,salt, peanut & tadka. mix well.

    Add curd and 2 tbsp water mix well Add water gradually and make thick batter for idli.keep aside for 15 minutes. Meanwhile greased the idli mould/ maker.

    Now check batter cosentency. Add 1 tbsp or needed water and Whisk nicely.

    Add baking soda and mix well.

    Idli batter transfer into 3 equal portions in separate bowls.

    On medium flame heat 2 glass of water in pressure cooker. Cover the lid.

    Now white portion of batter keep aside.

    Now add coriander paste in 2nd bowl of idli batter and carrot paste n both of food color add in 3rd bowl of Idli batter. Mix well.

    Now 3 color of batter transfer into idli mould & make desired shape. All mould prepare to apply same process.

    Place Idli mould in boiled water. On high flame. Cover the lid without whistle.

    When steam makes, allow medium flame and steamed the idli for 15 minutes. Switch off the flame. Check the idli with tooth pick.

    Now idli mould remove from the cooker. Rest the idli's mould for 5 minutes then demould all idli. Transfer into plate. Ready to serve.

    Serve with Sambhar and any type of dip. Enjoy!
