This reuben inspired sammich is more of a conceptual idea, but it is really delicious. The quantities I've listed are what I used to make 2, and I had just a little bit of filling leftover.

You can say it's from tin or a can to me it's the same. When I was young around 4-1/2 to almost 5 years old my late granny had a boyfriend who worked cooking for logging camps. So when I got to go to my grannys house and he was there he would cook up some types of food. One of my favorite ones was eggs with Heinz 57 steak sauce or HP steak sauce. The yolks would be runny the whites done. It set it on a plate and give me buttered toast with a bottle of steak sauce, sometimes with sausage or bacon. I have that recipe on here too. Except the yolk aren't runny. It's called a sandwich full of memories. On a couple of occasions Benny would cook tinned or canned corn beef. He fried it crispy. Added to a bowl add some Heinz 57 steak sauce or HP steak sauce. Served it on toasted bread. Kinda like a sloppy Joe but not so sloppy. This is dedicated to him, Benny.Thank you Benny!!!

A delicious comfort food from a time gone by....

It's getting cold here in the desert. So making my way to the deck to grill doesn't always seem like fun. Especially when there's a little wind and the sun goes down out by the mountain we live next to. I wanted a nice hearty meal that warms my bones and reminds me of my childhood home. A simple and delicious classic with a few of my own twists.

quick... delicious... loaded with good stuffs for your body... and... recipe is easily doubled or even tripled if you are having company for lunch.

As a kid my mom made these often. The tripe was canned back then. This is made from fresh and clean tripe. Another childhood memory I wanted to share with yall.

One of them times when you get midnight snack, you want something to eat, take your medicine with, or you just hungry. I got the munchies watching the games these are good.

Sandwich made with leftover grilled chicken tenders. #SandwichItWithMish

This was a rarity around my late older Brother, Murray. He love tuna casserole so much it was impossible most of the times to have leftovers. If there was I sneaked in the middle of the night or very early morning. Get the mayonnaise, sometimes tarter sauce or cocktail sauce, a slice of bread and get a bit of cold tuna casserole. Make a lone foldover sandwich, or a full one. Now the rarest of all were the triple lol. I was only able make one, while he was around. These can be eaten on any type of bread including rye, sourdough, and Cuban bread. Super delicious midnight snack. He would always whine and cry the blues when a dabble of the precious tuna casserole was missing. I'd be laughing and running to the hills to get away. Yes he was that serious about tuna fish!! You would have to be quick, to wolf it down, so have the bread ready. As soon as you uncover that casserole, he would smell it, wake up from a sound sleep, and start an investigation, on who is messing with HIS tuna casserole. Some old memories!!!Sometimes I would stick an empty tuna can in his room, or his old Ford Bronco. It would put him into a frenzy, lol.
