Ingredients

30 mints
10-12 servings
  • 1 cupdaal or 200 gram daal
  • 10-12 cupwater
  • 2big onion
  • 4big tomatoes
  • 10garlic cloves
  • 1 inchginger
  • 4-5green chilli
  • 2 tbspSpices - Hara dhaniya
  • 1 tbspturmeric
  • 1 tbspred chilli powder
  • 2 tbspEverest sambhar masala
  • Pinchhing
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 1 tsp rai
  • 5-6curry leaves
  • 2 tbspghee
  • 3 tsp Salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly, wash toor daal at least 3 times.
    Drain water and heat pressure cooker on high flame

  2. 2

    Add daal, turmeric,salt and water in the cooker.
    Always remember - (toor daal jitni zada quantity mein hoti hai utni jaldi pakti hai) (pani humesha 3 Guna zda dalte hai agar apne 1 bowl daal li hai to 6 bowl pani jayega)

  3. 3

    I take only 1 whistle on high flame and keep it on slow flame for 5-6 mnts.
    My daal cooked well, you should cook accordingly

  4. 4

    Heat kadhai,
    Put oil until it become hot,
    Add hing, jeera, rai, curry leaves, crashed ginger garlic cook on slow flame.

  5. 5

    Add chopped onions, cook until light golden

  6. 6

    Add chopped green chilli as onion got cooked

  7. 7

    After that, add tomatoes and add 1 tbsp of salt and all the spices to it.
    Add 2 spoon water and cover it until oil bengan to show on top.

  8. 8

    Add cooked daal and water according to consistency.

  9. 9

    Give 2-3 boils and there your daal is ready.
    Add coriander leaves to enhance the look of daal
