Mango shrikhand is a quick and delicious dessert recipe which is prepared using hung curd and mango pulp. You can add cardamom and saffron to it to add to the flavours. Dry fruits can be added to make it rich and delicious. It can be served as a dessert or a sweet dish with your main meal.

To make hung curd, add three cups of yoghurt/curd in a muslin cloth and tie it. Make sure that curd is not sour. Now put it in a strainer on top of a pot and put it in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours so that all the liquid is strained from the curd.

Infuse saffron in warm milk. Now in a bowl take hung curd, mango pulp, powdered sugar, cardamom powder, saffron infused milk and dry fruits. Mix everything very well. Chill mango shrikhand until ready to be served. The amount of sugar can be adjusted according to your taste.

Chilled mango shrikhand can be served as a dessert or a side dish with your main meal.
