Bring a saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta into the boiling water and cook until soft. Once completed, do not drain the pasta water.

In a large skillet, add in the minced garlic and butter and cook for 1-2 minutes. Next, add in the heavy cream and cook for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once completed, add in a handful of the shredded parmesan cheese and mix until well combined.

Combine the fettuccine pasta with the alfredo sauce and add in another handful of the shredded parmesan cheese and mix until well combined.

If desired, a few tablespoons of the remaining pasta water can be added to the fettuccine alfredo to make it thinner and for a more flavorful taste.

Lastly, sprinkle the fettuccine alfredo with salt, black pepper, and parsley.

Serve and enjoy.
