Gajar/ carrot halwa is a sweet dessert pudding, started in Punjab, India. The main ingredients are carrots and milk/ milk products. Milk, khoya, and cream are usually used to make the halwa. I have used here, milk as well as cream to make the halwa more delicious and rich for the Deity.

Steps

To hot ghee, add grated carrots and fry for 8-10 minutes. When colour changes, add milk and sugar. Mix well.

Add chopped dry fruits and create. Stir on medium heat.

When carrots come together, switch off the flame, mix cardamom powder and allow to cool down.

Transfer to a greased plate, and garnish with cashew, almonds, and pista. Serve hot or at room temperature.
