We all enjoy eating tandoor roti or naan or puri or paratha but there is no taste to be matched of a nice, fresh and hot homemade Roti or Phulka as you would like to call it. The aroma and flavor of hot roti right off the tawa or pan is treat to your taste buds in itself.

We all enjoy eating tandoor roti or naan or puri or paratha but there is no taste to be matched of a nice, fresh and hot homemade Roti or Phulka as you would like to call it. The aroma and flavor of hot roti right off the tawa or pan is treat to your taste buds in itself.

Steps

Knead the dough. Now take one ball and roll it like a disc.

Spread the ball with rolling pin into the slightly thick circle as shown. Heat a tawa. Once the tawa is hot put on rolled Phulka.

In a minute you can see bubbles arise. Now flip it to other side. After 2 or 3 minutes large bubbles appear.

Now quickly take the Phulka from tawa using a tong to place the Phulka on the medium flame burner. (First way)

Now flip the other side and gently press the dough with a kitchen cloth on the edges. This helps the roti to rise from the centre like a puri.

Serve hot with any curry or vegetables.
