  2. 1 tspCoconut pieces
  3. 1/2 tspCardamom powder
  4. 1 cupRagi flour
  5. requiredoil or ghee
  6. requiredSalt

    Prepare a checklist keep the necessary items nearby

    Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Dissolve brown sugar in boiling water. Add 1 tablespoon ghee or oil. Add coconut pieces, cardamom powder. Add the flour little by little and stir. When every thing comes together and ragi is cooked 40% turn the stove off. Let it cool to room temperature. Knead the dough well and divide and make a big dough ball. Apply a little oil on your hands and make a ball the size of a lemon.

    Apply a little oil on your hands and make a ball as large as a lemon..Apply oil on a plastic sheet, A piece of parchment paper. or banana leaf and pat the ball into a small ball
    Grease a skillet over medium heat and place the flattened adai on the skillet. Flip after a couple of minutes. Cook both sides;

    When ready transfer to a plate
    If you like, spread ghee or butter on the adai to make it taste better. Taste it and share it with children and adults. I also served gulkand I made from my garden roses. You may serve with curd, cream cheese or jam.
